A lost tooth
So I'm a little late in posting this.. Atreyu lost a tooth 2 weeks ago now. Lost it while eating ravioli. He lost a tooth before his big brother! Wow! The tooth fairy left him $1.
Pumpkin Dutch Apple Pie Awesomeness
So everyone has that dilemma... Pumpkin pie or apple pie... My thought, why not both! But wait... That's too much pie... Well not if you make them into only one pie, right?
I gave it a try... I made apple pie filling and pumpkin pie filling... Halved each... And put it together in one pie crust... Made a crumble for the top, and baked it!

Halloween
So for Halloween, I stayed home and handed out candy and daddy and the eldest boys went trick-or-treating.
Scott is home
On Sunday the 27th, Scott was released from the hospital! He was given some meds to take and had a few follow up appointments set up as well as directions on what he could and couldn't do.
Daddy got to hold his son for the first time!
Ryder Ashton is born
So... Ryder Ashton has arrived! It's been very crazy this past month, I'm sorry I wasn't able to post sooner!
I'll start my blog with the afternoon of the 21st... My husband went into the Dr. for a cough he had been fighting for quite some time, and ended up being admitted! He was diagnosed with pneumonia and the clinic wanted to keep him overnight for observation. His oxygen levels were very low and he needed some help breathing. I was starting to freak out because that was going to ruin all of our plans we had for the following day, but none-the-less I was ok at this point because I knew Scott would be at our sons birth! I told my office what was going on and was allowed to take the day off to get things situated and work on a back up plan if Scott ended up still being in the hospital longer. I was able to talk to Scott's Dr. and was informed that he would most likely not make it to the birth... I was so upset, and so was Scott!
Thanks to an awesome set of friends here, I was able to get a back up plan in place and a great friend was able to take the day off work so she could come into the OR with me for the birth. I am so thankful for Mrs. Janet!! With the plans in place for the kids and myself, I made sure my bags were packed and that I had everything I needed! We were all still hoping for a miracle that Scott would be well enough and released and allowed to be with me for the birth of our son.
The morning of the 23rd, I got Trystian and Atreyu ready and off to school. Mrs. Janet and I made our way to the hospital and visited Scott before heading to labor and delivery. Scott was still admitted and unfortunately was not doing well at all. He was on oxygen and was not allowed to be anywhere near the L&D unit. After visiting with my husband, I went to sign in for my surgery.
I was admitted and monitored as I was briefed about the surgery and what to expect. I walked into the OR and then the spinal anesthesia was administered. The nurses and doctors were so nice and I was able to *relax*... Music was playing which was nice! When the doctors were ready to start, Mrs. Janet was allowed in. The surgery was started. At 10:03 am, Ryder Ashton was born. The song "Stronger" by Brittany Spears was playing. Ryder weighed in at 6 pounds and 13 ounces, and 19.5 inches long. Apgar scores were 9 and 9.
The doctors and nurses were AWESOME!
As soon as I was able to get up and move, I did. Mrs. Janet stayed the night, helped out, and Ryder was an angel!
The kids came to visit and meet their brother! They were so excited!!
The second day, the nurses were so nice in letting Scott be able to at least see his son. It was a joyous moment! Scott was worse than he had been. The only way the unit would let him "visit" was by looking in through the door window.
On the day we were ready to go home, they sent Scott to Hachinohe to run tests because he was not doing well still, and seemingly getting worse.
Ryder however was happy to be released, and so was I!
On the night we got home, Scott was brought back to misawa hospital and re-admitted. The outcome was that he had pneumonia and the meds he was given gave him an allergic reaction that made him worse. He was given different meds and started to get better immediately!

Patiently waiting!
I am having my baby this week and I'm so anxious to see him and hold him in my arms!!
I wonder how big he's actually going to be... And I hope I have enough newborn size clothes!
My bags are packed and I had my last NST today!

I thought I would share the dish with you...
First you need to gut your pumpkins...
Next you brown the ground beef and drain the fat. Add the onions and cook till almost translucent. Add the seasonings and the cream soups. Turn off the heat.
Then stuff your pumpkins!
Finally bake them for an hour at 400 degrees...

Atreyu's first field trip!
Atreyu had his first field trip today! We went to the pumpkin patch! The whole class had a blast!
Trey got to pick out a pumpkin, and the farmers cut it off the vine for him. Then while we were looking around the gardens, the farmer brought Atreyu a small squash for him.
Atreyu and I tried 3 different kinds of grapes that the family of farmers grow and wow were they so so sweet and good!!
We also got to pick some chesnuts to bring home as well!
After we left from the pumpkin patch, we went to a park to eat lunch and let all the kids run around and play!

Japan does McDonalds better!
Well the food tastes so much better in Japan. It's made fresh when you order and they have 2 seperate sides to order... The McCafe side and the food side... Yes it's like a mini Starbucks in a McDonalds...
They take great pride in making their food and serving it! The frappe I ordered was really good!
