Japan does McDonalds better!

So we took a trip up to Hachinohe and decided on a quick lunch at McDonalds...  Yes very "American" of us...

Well the food tastes so much better in Japan.  It's made fresh when you order and they have 2 seperate sides to order...  The McCafe side and the food side...  Yes it's like a mini Starbucks in a McDonalds...

They take great pride in making their food and serving it!  The frappe I ordered was really good!

First Days of School

So Trystian started his first day of Kindergarten!  Here he is below!  So excited!  He picks out his clothes to wear each night, so he will will be able to get ready quickly in the mornings.  He's so handsome!

He was so excited to ride the bus!  That's all we heard about leading up to his first day!  It was raining the first day, so he had to wear his rain jacket...

The following week, Atreyu started school... Brothers so excited to go to school is an awesome thing!

Atreyu looked so cute all dressed up for school!  He too picks out his clothes each night to make for a quick easy morning.  He also chose red for his first day, LOL.  He was so happy!  He is in Pre-K.

Like his big brother, he gets to ride the bus to school in the morning.  Daddy took him to the bus stop as Mama wasn't able to on his first day. :(  But He was so happy to ride on the bus as well!

There they are, climbing those huge steps to get onto the bus!

They sit on opposite sides of the bus, so getting a picture of Atreyu on the bus is near impossible.  Here is Trysrtian showing just how happy he is to ride the bus.  And these school buses have seatbelts too!  Yup, you read that right, seatbelts!  I think it's great!  In fact, Atreyu has a car seat that Mr. J.P. buckles him in each morning.  The kids love this guy!

The kids have now been in school for 1 and 2 weeks, and they LOVE IT!  Trystian is already making great progress as he can read small sentences already!!  Atreyu enjoys his days at school as well and we get good notes from his teacher that he sleeps hard at nap time! :)

Cloth diapering in the hospital Part I

Packing the Diaper Bag

Prepping your diaper bag for the hospital is always a happy time, but sometimes it can also be stressful to know what you will need, especially if you are planning on doing cloth diapers in the hospital.  I wanted to share what we are bringing to the hospital, and I hope it helps you out if you were wondering what to bring when cloth diapering in the hospital.  I'll be sure to take pictures of the diapers on my little pumpkin once he is born and post in Part II.

    6 Lil Joey's to bring.

8 Imagine X-Small prefolds, 2 Tiny covers from Assunta, and 1 Swaddlebees X-Small cover.

    5 Alva Baby Newborn diapers.

5 Imagine Newborn All In Ones.

2 BumGenious Newborn All In Ones.

That makes a total of 13 All In Ones, 5 Pockets, and 8 prefolds to use with 3 covers.  26 diapers for the time we are in the hospital should be enough for 2 days.  I am bringing my wetbag to keep all the dirty diapers in.  At the end of the day, I'll give my husband the dirties and he will wash them to bring back in the morning.  We have 2 kids at home, so him staying the night is just not going to happen.  This is good though, because he can wash and dry the diapers to bring in the next day and get enough rest to help me out during the days at the hospital.  If we should need more diapers (if some of these brands don't fit under the umbilical cord) then I can have my husband bring me a few more prefolds and diaper covers.

I can't wait to hold my pumpkin!  I also can't wait to use my cloth diapers!  Who can't resist the look of a cloth diaper on a baby?

P.S. Don't worry, I'm not bringing the cabbage patch doll with me.  ;)

Fun dressing up!

So this morning the kids and I had fun dancing and singing to music...  Anyone remember "buttermilk biscuits"?  Well, the boys found the Jack the Pumpkin King costume and wanted to dress up.  The pictures are priceless!

I think the kids look adorable wearing the costume! What do you think?

Pumpkin at 31 weeks

A little update:  Baby is doing good.  He's measuring on the small side, but then again, my other kids were only 6 lb babies too...  He's awesome at practice breathing though!  He moves a lot!  Constantly kicking me in the ribs!  I can't wait to hold him and see his tiny toes and cute nose!

The kids can't wait to see him either!  They have a daily routine of giving him kisses and hugs and rubbing my belly!  They are so excited to be big brothers!  Trystian says he cant wait to "help fold diapers, and do the laundry" HA!  I had to laugh when he told me that!  All he wants to do is change the baby's diaper too!  He reminds me all the time!

Harry Potter Party!!

I had so much fun prepping for my Harry Potter Party!  Below are some pictures of the things I made.

The Chocolate Frogs.  I found a printout off Pinterest and sized it down a bit...

Again, I found a printout off Pinterest and scaled the boxes down to size for little hand-held Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.

This was easy, I made golden snitches with the help of some aluminum foil for the wings.

I made little labels and baggies for all the candies.  Here are the Sherbet Lemon.

I made this sign in a day...  It wasn't hard.  My husband even helped me out.

I loved the idea of making owls out of white balloons!  The kids did too!

After the sun went down, the lights I put out for decoration were see-able!

Our Bathroom!  I think it might still be on the mirror almost a month later...

I hung battery tealight candles from the ceiling to give the effect of the great hall's awesome ceiling!  Everyone thought this was great!

I even had some death eaters show up to the party...  I didn't turn them away... We all had an awesome time!
